Recently, a tweet on Twitter said that in order to prevent situations like last winter when passengers were stranded in their buses due to the buses running out of power, Norway is equipping electric buses with diesel generators in order to heat the compartments during the winter.
Elon Reeve Musk responded, “Then the battery packs of the busses are too small.Teslas can operate well even above the Arctic Circle.”
He also predicted that as Tesla's driverless technology matures, buses could become obsolete in the future ,“busses will not be needed when Tesla rolls out unsuperviseed full self driving, as they will take people point to point for a similar cost to a bus ticket”.
Also, a camouflaged vehicle suspected to be a Tesla Robotaxi driverless cab has been photographed on the street.
The car looks to be small in size and features a two-door, two-seat design with a distinctive, yellow-taped body covered in layers with several fake body panels. There is a compartmentalized protrusion at the rear, possibly to hide the body curves. The media claims the car uses a long tail light design similar to the Cybertruck Cyber Pickup.
Tesla plans to unveil the long-awaited driverless taxicab on October of the 10th, which Musk believes will be the most important day for the company since the release of the Model 3.
