After less than a month of Tesla CEO Elon Musk promising to unveil the Robotaxi, reports suggest that plans have changed. According to new reports, the vehicle is now set to be unveiled in October to provide the team with more time to manufacture additional cars. Some team members are changing design elements at a late stage in the development process.
Elon Musk has been promoting Tesla's future autonomous ride-sharing service, known as "Robo-Taxi," for many years. He has consistently promised to launch self-driving technology. Although Tesla has postponed the Robo-Taxi event to October, a specific date has not yet been confirmed.
As evident from its history, delays are not new for Tesla. Meanwhile, if the team is still willing to rework design elements, it may indicate that we are still quite far from seeing a production version of the Tesla Robotaxi.
