Mercedes recently announced several updates for its C-Class and GLC models. As both models are still relatively new, the changes are minor, primarily including an updated color palette and a brand new infotainment system. The vehicles are equipped with the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system, which features 5G connectivity and supports multiple applications. Additionally, the new infotainment system boasts a simplified interface. While details remain limited at this time, Mercedes stated that its design is smartphone-inspired for ease of use and operation.
The infotainment system also employs artificial intelligence to automate certain comfort features. For instance, customers can set a routine that automatically activates seat heating when the external temperature drops below a certain level.
Inside, the models can now be equipped with a non-leather steering wheel. This is a completely new option, meaning that the cars will be available with a fully leather-free interior. Additional changes are limited, but the GLC now offers a metallic silver paint option. Both models also have the new Manufaktur Alpine Gray Uni option.
Finally, the GLC and GLC Coupe can now be equipped with digital key technology, enabling owners to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle using their smartphones. Keys can be shared with up to 16 people, allowing family and friends easy access to your car.
Currently, the updated GLC and C-Class models are available for order in Germany, with prices starting at €47,730 for the sedan and €59,809 for the crossover.
