Lynk & Co has introduced an updated version of its 01 model tailored for the European market. The new vehicle is equipped with a rechargeable hybrid engine and a revamped infotainment system. The exterior design remains largely unchanged, with subtle adjustments to the glossy black grille, newly designed wheels, and modified LED taillights. Additionally, the available color palette has been expanded to include options like Crystal White, Sparkling Black, and Mineral Metallic Green.
According to the company, the simple design enhancements and new color options are inspired by customer feedback. Inside, the vehicle features a larger 15.4-inch touchscreen that includes a faster infotainment system than before. Designers have also added physical buttons to the steering wheel, making it easier for drivers.
The hybrid system has been updated with the latest technology from the parent company Geely. The total output is now 276 horsepower with 535 Nm of torque, an increase from the previous 257 horsepower and 425 Nm.
While the company has not disclosed detailed specifications, it is likely that the SUV will feature a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor. It claims that the 01 offers sharper acceleration and more responsive handling.
In addition to the added power, the new PHEV hybrid system is said to be more fuel-efficient. The average fuel consumption drops from 1 to 0.9 liters per 100 kilometers, and average CO2 emissions decrease from 24 to 20 grams per kilometer, at least according to the WLTP cycle. The zero-emissions range remains unchanged at 75 kilometers.
The vehicle was originally launched in China in 2017 and received a facelift in 2021, coinciding with its launch in Europe. The compact electric SUV shares its CMA platform with the Volvo XC40, C40, and Polestar 2. The updated version is expected to go on sale in European markets in the coming months.
