Launch of Hyundai Ioniq 5 N 2025 in Korea with Improved Drift System

Hyundai has launched the 2025 IONIQ 5 N in Korea, enhancing its practicality. This electric vehicle focuses on performance, and the modifications are based on customer feedback. While there are no external or technical changes compared to the previous model, Hyundai has implemented improvements in software aspects and added more standard equipment.

The most notable feature of the new 2025 model is the improved "N Drift Optimizer" system, which now provides a 10% increase in drift assistance, suitable for various levels of drift driving experience. Hyundai states that the system has become better at monitoring and assessing drift conditions, thus improving its effectiveness.

Additionally, the system offers reduced impact from Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and torque adjustment, allowing the driver to "drift more freely." Of course, this should be limited to the racetrack, as is the case with all drift-related systems in modern vehicles. The responsibilities of the "N e-Shift" function have also been expanded, gaining features such as "speed reduction memory" and "downhill assist".

Another less noticeable change is the preparation sound for the "N Launch Control" system, which operates continuously even when the "N Active Sound +" system is turned off. Finally, the standard equipment for the sole available model has been improved, gaining features such as smart headlights, away-lock functionality, V2L, second-row safety windows, and vibration warning on the steering wheel.

The electric vehicle retains a setup of two electric motors with 641 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque when activating N Grin Boost. It also features a recently added larger 84 kWh battery. The starting price for the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N in Korea is $57,678, including tax incentives for eco-friendly vehicles. The new enhancements are expected to reach other markets soon.
