Genesis is introducing a high-performance GV60 Magma version, equipped with unique features from the Ioniq 5 N. This car is set to provide an unparalleled driving experience, potentially overshadowing the regular GV60 versions currently in development.
Recently captured spy shots in Germany show the model undergoing testing. Based on the images, the new front bumper design mirrors that seen in previous videos, retaining the vertical side air intakes. Although the headlights on this prototype resemble those of existing crossovers, each light unit now consists of two rows of seven LED units, rather than the previous two rows of five.
The interior will offer generous storage space and features a crystal circular gear shifter that rotates upon starting the vehicle. The vehicle is expected to continue with two 12.3-inch displays, although wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto may be added. Like the recently updated Kia EV6, the car is based on the E-GMP platform. The fact that Ioniq has not received major changes in its powertrain suggests that Genesis will follow suit, aside from the addition of the Magma version, which should have at least 641 horsepower.
Even if the current engine settings of 225 horsepower, 314 horsepower, and 429 horsepower are transferred to the updated GV60 unchanged, a larger 84 kWh battery will be added.
