Hyundai has officially launched the facelifted version of the Alcazar in India, featuring a more sporty design that gives the vehicle a boxy shape. The Alcazar was originally introduced in 2021 as a longer version of the Hyundai Creta, adding a third row of seats. Now, after three years, the Alcazar receives its first facelift, inspired by the updated Creta models.
The new front design features distinct headlights in an 'H' shape with LED units. The front bumper is covered with a wide grille and large skid plates surrounding the low cooling intakes.
The overall design remains familiar but now features new 18-inch aluminum wheels and streamlined roof rails. At the rear, there are updated LED tail lights designed in an 'H' shape, along with a sporty rear bumper accented with aluminum touches and exhaust outlets, along with a Turbo badge.
Hyundai has not revealed images of the interior yet, but it is expected to carry over the same digital cockpit from the updated Creta models, including a dual 10.25-inch screen with additional technologies and updated comfort and safety features. The vehicle will continue to offer both 6- and 7-seater configurations.
Regarding engines, they will remain as in the previous model, including a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 158 horsepower and a diesel engine of the same capacity with 113 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission for the gasoline engine or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The diesel engine will be connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive available across all variants and engines.
Hyundai has already started accepting pre-orders for the vehicle in India ahead of its unveiling and market launch on September 9.
