Hyundai has officially confirmed the launch of the three-row Ioniq SUV, a highly anticipated vehicle that will be presented later this year. Recent images of the Ioniq 7 have emerged from Nevada, and Hyundai has stated that this new SUV will make its global debut in 2024 as part of the 2025 model lineup. Although Hyundai has not yet officially used the name Ioniq 7, it is widely recognized as the expected name for this vehicle.
Previous reports suggested that the vehicle would debut in June, but this did not happen, and there has been no announcement in July either. This car represents the production version of the 2021 concept model, Seven, and serves as Hyundai's competitor to the Kia EV9, built on the same E-GMP platform. It is expected to offer a very similar range of powertrains, starting with a rear-wheel-drive version producing 215 horsepower, with a high-performance variant potentially reaching up to 576 horsepower.
Hyundai may also offer two different battery options, the first being 76.1 kWh with a range of approximately 370 km, and the second being a larger 99.8 kWh battery with a range of 483 km.
Despite the camouflage, the slim horizontal DRL lights of the Ioniq 7 prototype and the lower part of the headlights are still visible. The Ioniq 7 will be part of the 2025 model lineup, which also includes the facelifted Ioniq 5, Tucson, and Santa Cruz.
