The GAC Research Institute Concept and Styling Design Center officially announced that Benoit Jacob, a master of electric vehicle design and world-renowned designer, has joined GAC as the Global Executive Design Director of GAC Research Institute.
It is said that Benoit will fully support Zhang Fan, vice president of BAIC Research Institute, who is responsible for BAIC's design work.
Benoit is one of the world's leaders in the design of automobiles and has led several important projects including the BMW F30 3 Series, F32/F33 6 Series, F07 5 Series GT, Z4 and the M1 Hommage concept car. The M1 Hommage was the inspiration for the BMW i8, a design that laid the foundation for future electric vehicles.
