In October, BYD released the official images of the Denza N9 SUV, which had previously appeared without camouflage in the UK. The Denza N9 is a full-size SUV built on BYD's electronic platform 3.0 and is expected to launch later this year, featuring both pure electric and plug-in hybrid versions to compete with models like the Li Auto L9 and Aito M9.
In terms of exterior design, the front of the Denza N9 consists of multiple layers of lines, with the prominent Denza logo in the center. At the same time, a lidar module can be seen on the roof, and the side mirrors have a flat design. From the side, the body design is square, combined with hidden door handles and multi-faceted edges.
The vehicle comes with three electric motors, including an asynchronous front motor and two synchronous rear motors, one on the right and one on the left, delivering a total power of 308 horsepower and 322 horsepower respectively. Additionally, the dual rear motors support independent steering. The length of the vehicle is 5.3 meters, featuring a smart cockpit and advanced driving assistance functions with a cooling unit and seats that support heating and cooling.
In August 2023, the company announced plans to launch eight new models over the next three years, including three SUVs (N7, N8, and N9), the D9, and three mid-to-large sedans. From January to September 2024, the company sold 10,299 vehicles, a 2.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The total sales have exceeded 90,000 vehicles.
