The Chinese market favors large vehicles across all categories, which has led global car manufacturers, including BMW, to release special versions with extended and modified wheelbases and more spacious interiors. The latest example of this is the BMW X3 model 2025 dedicated to the Chinese market.
Specifications and New Features of the Chinese BMW X3
The German vehicle relies on an extended and modified wheelbase and will be produced in China in collaboration with the local partner Brilliance. BMW will also offer a version of the X3 with a standard wheelbase similar to global models.
The Chinese BMW X3 maintains the same exterior design as the global model launched in July, with a difference of 110 millimeters in wheelbase length. The vehicle comes equipped with an M Sport package that adds sporty exterior touches.
As for the interior design, it is similar to the global version, featuring a flat-bottom steering wheel, a curved panoramic display, a wireless charger, a panoramic glass roof, and ambient lighting.
Engine and Performance
The Chinese version of the BMW X3 2025 relies on a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 190 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. An alternative version of the same engine delivers up to 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque for the higher trims, with an all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
