Audi is actively working to launch a brand new electric vehicle, expected to make its debut in 2027. This new car may lead to more models based on the Audi A3 and Audi Q3, allowing the company to capitalize on the increasing demand for small electric crossovers and SUVs.
Audi plans to introduce 20 fully electric models by 2025. Starting from 2026, Audi will only offer electric vehicles to the market. The company’s CEO, Jürgen Notz-Dohlen, stated that this entry-level new car will benefit from accelerated development over just three years and will be positioned below the current Q4 e-tron model.
He confirmed that this new model will be a highly anticipated special offering. Very few details are known about the vehicle at this time, but it is expected to be based on the MEB platform designed for electric vehicles, although the final decision regarding the production platform has not yet been made.
Despite this new model being smaller in size and cheaper than other Audi electric vehicles, it will not serve as an electric successor to the Audi A1.
