AMD announced the latest addition to AMD's automotive XA series, the Artix UltraScale+ XA AU7P, an automotive-standard FPGA chip with an ultra-small size and cost-optimized for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), digital cockpit infotainment (IVI) systems.
This latest Artix UltraScale+ XA AU7P is available in a 9 x 9 mm packaging, which is the smallest package in AMD's 16nm process FPGA or Adaptive SoC product line and is ideal for camera vision or in-vehicle display applications.
Currently, the customers have designed the new products into ADAS edge devices, such as thermal cameras and infrared cameras, which can perform edge sensor data acquisition, image/video processing, and also connect to in-vehicle displays to further enhance infotainment functions.
