The German automaker announced the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz will start at $61,545, including a $1,550 destination charge. The electric bus will finally arrive at dealers later this year, with a range of 234 to 231 miles on a charge.
Upon its arrival, the ID.Buzz will be available in base Pro S, Pro S Plus, and launch-exclusive 1st Edition trims. Each ID.Buzz will feature three rows of seats with capacity for six or seven passengers. A 91-kWh battery pack powers every ID.Buzz. Single-motor rear-wheel-drive models deliver 282 hp and an EPA-rated range of 234 miles. Dual-motor models add all-wheel drive, boosting output to 335 hp, but reducing the EPA-rated range to 231 miles.
The single rear motor is standard on all three trims, with dual-motor all-wheel drive optional on mid- and upper-level Pro S Plus and 1st Edition models.
For $61,545 the Base Pro S models come well equipped with a standard second-row bench seat that holds up to seven passengers. A 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 5.3-inch digital gauge cluster are standard. Families will find eight 45-watt USB-C ports, a 12-volt trunk outlet, and a 150-watt 110-volt outlet inside. LED lighting throughout and 20-inch aluminum wheels are all standard. The front seats are 12-way heated, cooled, and massaging, while the outboard second-row seats are heated as well. A heated steering wheel is also standard. Only three monotone colors are offered on the base model, including Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, and Metro Silver. Interior color options include Copper and Moonlight.
Mid-trim Pro S Plus models cost $65,045 with a single motor and $69,545 with a dual-motor powertrain. A head-up display and surround-view camera system are added along with a 700-watt Harman Kardon sound system featuring 14 speakers. A retractable tow hitch is included, but towing ratings will not be available until closer to launch. While a second-row bench seat with capacity for up to seven is standard, second-row captain's chairs will be optional on single-motor models and standard on dual-motor models. The three-option monotone color palette opens up with two-tone color options for an additional $995.
The launch-exclusive 1st Edition model costs $67,045 with a single motor and $71,545 with the dual-motor powertrain. Each 1st Edition features the Dune interior color option and can be had with five two-tone exterior color choices. The 1st Edition trim includes a unique 20-inch wheel design, heritage-inspired floor mats, roof rail cross bars, and 1st Edition badging inside and out. Single-motor models will feature a second-row bench seating up to seven, while dual-motor models will swap in captain's chairs with seating for six.
