Toyota's price adjustments seem unaffected by the ongoing price hikes, as the 2025 Grand Highlander is priced at $40,860 in the US, a reduction of $2460 from the previous base XLE model. Although the price has decreased, some compromises were made to achieve this.
The new Grand Highlander comes with a power liftgate and 18-inch wheels, as well as heated power mirrors and blind spot warning indicators. The interior features eight fabric seats and a 7-inch multi-information display, while buyers will enjoy a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a six-speaker audio system, along with a tri-zone climate control system. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable in eight directions and is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 driver assistance system.
The base LE is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 265 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission, with an optional all-wheel drive system available for an additional $1600.
Customers can also opt for a hybrid version starting at $44,210, featuring a 2.5-liter engine and a small battery with a rear motor providing all-wheel drive. While the output drops to 245 horsepower, fuel economy increases to 36 miles per gallon in the city, 32 miles per gallon on the highway, and a combined 34 miles per gallon.
Additionally, Toyota has introduced the new Nightshade Edition Hybrid, based on the Hybrid Limited version starting at $52,610. As the name suggests, it features black accents, including a black hood, black bumper, and 20-inch black wheels, with the interior offering black leather seats and matte gray metal trim, along with heated and ventilated front seats, second-row heated captain's chairs, and an 11-speaker JBL premium audio system.
While additional changes are limited, the 2025 Grand Highlander offers a new Heavy Metal paint color for the Limited and Hybrid MAX versions. The XLE and above versions also come standard with captain's chairs and a removable center console.
Apart from these minor updates, prices have gradually increased, with the XLE rising by $310 and the Limited by $250, while the leading Hybrid MAX Platinum AWD starts at $58,775, representing an increase of $300.
