The facelift Model Y is available in two variants in China, with the rear-wheel-drive version starting at RMB 263,500 (about 131,996 AED), and the long-range all-wheel-drive version priced at RMB 303,500 (about 152,033 AED). Deliveries are expected to begin in March.

Exterior: A Bold New Look

The 2025 Tesla Model Y introduces a revolutionary exterior design, featuring Tesla’s first-ever spanning headlight, reminiscent of the Cybertruck. This unique design includes split headlights at the front, aligning with earlier rendering.

The side profile showcases updated wheel hub designs, which not only enhance the car’s aesthetics but also improve aerodynamic efficiency, reducing wind resistance. Consistent with previous spy shots, the Model Y also integrates Tesla’s English logo into the cente the lamp cluster, adding a distinctive touch.

The free exterior color for the facelifted Model Y is grey, while other colors require a fee of RMB 8,000(about 4,000 AED) for white and blue, and RMB 12,000(about 6,000 AED) for red and silver.

Interior: Sleek and Simplified

The interior of the 2025 Model Y has undergone significant refinement, with upgraded materials and a more streamlined layout. Notably, the turn signal stalk and gear shift lever have been removed, reflecting Tesla’s push for minimalism.

Rear passengers now have access to an 8-inch display, which allows them to control the air conditioning and access multimedia features. Additional soundproof glass and insulation materials have been incorporated to provide a quieter and more comfortable cabin environment.

Seating: Flexible 6/7-Seat Configurations

In addition to the standard 5-seat version, the 2025 Model Y will also offer 6-seat and 7-seat configurations, catering to families and larger groups. According to Chinese media reports, the six-seat variant is expected to begin deliveries from Tesla’s Shanghai factory in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The seats are expected to feature improved ventilation and may use premium materials, enhancing both comfort and luxury for passengers.

Engine: Pushing the Limits

2025 Model Y will see significant power upgrades. The rear-wheel-drive version offers a CLTC range of 593 kilometers and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Meanwhile, the long-range all-wheel-drive version delivers a CLTC range of 719 kilometers and achieves 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 4.3 seconds. Both models have a top speed of 201 kilometers per hour.
