On February 26, we obtained the official interior images of the 2025 Tank 300 (China model), a compact SUV, from Tank officials. The new model mainly focuses on styling upgrades, enhancing the vehicle’s overall freshness. According to previous reports, the car is expected to launch in China in early March.
Interior
The biggest changes are in the interior. The Chinese model adopts a new double-spoke multi-function steering wheel and replaces the previous setup with a floating, large-sized center control screen and a pocket gear shifter, giving it a more high-tech feel.
Additionally, the layout of the gear selector area has been revised. The vehicle now features dual wireless phone charging pads and an increased number of physical buttons and toggles, including controls for high-speed/low-speed four-wheel drive, differential lock, and more.
Exterior
On the exterior, the 2025 Tank 300 (China model) retains the overall styling of the current model. It continues to feature round headlight clusters paired with LED daytime running lights and a three-slot grille design, giving the front fascia a blend of retro and modern aesthetics.
For reference, the fuel-powered version has an approach angle of 33 degrees, a departure angle of 34 degrees, a minimum ground clearance of 224mm when fully loaded, and a maximum wading depth of 700mm.
Power
Powertrain options are expected to remain the same as the current Chinese model. The Tank 300 is available with three different powertrains in China:
The gasoline version comes with a 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 227 hp (167 kW) and 387 Nm of torque.
The diesel version is powered by a 2.4L turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 186 hp (137 kW).
The Tank 300 Hi4-T hybrid has a combined power output of 300 kW, total torque of 750 Nm, and a WLTC-rated pure electric range of 105 km.
We’ll continue to monitor updates on this new model.
Back to the Middle East
