The facelifted Lexus RX has officially launched in Japan, bringing a series of refinements aimed at enhancing comfort and driving performance. Along with the introduction of a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, the rear-wheel steering system—previously exclusive to the top-tier model—is now available on mid-range variants.

While the exterior remains unchanged, Lexus has focused on improving cabin quietness. Sound-absorbing materials have been added to the instrument panel for better insulation, and new soundproof glass on the rear doors helps reduce external noise. The chassis has also been fine-tuned, with optimized shock absorber damping, EPS power steering, and AVS electronic suspension. These adjustments minimize vertical movement, ensuring greater stability and a smoother ride.

One of the biggest updates is the DRS rear-wheel steering system, which was once exclusive to the RX 500h F Sport Performance but is now available on the RX 450h+ and RX 350h AWD. This system enhances handling by turning the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels at high speeds for added stability, while at low speeds, they turn in the opposite direction to improve maneuverability.

Inside, the RX receives a refreshed cabin with an upgraded 12.3-inch digital dashboard, ambient lighting under the center console, and new white/black interior options for the RX 500h F Sport Performance and RX 350 F Sport. The contrasting two-tone design adds a more refined and premium feel.

Beyond displaying essential driving information, the digital dashboard integrates navigation, adaptive cruise control (ACC), and vehicle status monitoring. It also offers three customizable display modes, allowing drivers to tailor their experience to their preferences.
