GMC has unveiled the significantly updated 2025 Yukon, aligning it with other vehicles sharing the same platform, such as the Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade. The new model features a bolder front design, a fully revamped interior with a massive infotainment display, and more powerful diesel engine options now available across the lineup. Additionally, there's a new AT4 Ultimate version that combines off-road capabilities with premium comfort.

On the exterior, GMC designers focused on the front fascia of the Yukon. The new, longer LED headlights now extend deeper into the redesigned bumper, while the updated grille provides greater distinction between trims. The vehicle also features dynamic lighting units. The rear changes are more straightforward, with a new trim linking slightly longer rear lights and quad exhaust outlets featuring a square design.

The design largely carries over from the fourth generation Yukon that debuted in 2020. However, there are now new alloy wheel options, with sizes reaching up to 24 inches. The new AT4 Ultimate version boasts a more distinctive off-road setup with 20-inch all-terrain tires, red badges, and a prominent skid plate.

Inside, the dashboard has been completely redesigned, aligning with the modern trend for full-size SUVs. It features massive displays, such as the 16.8-inch vertical infotainment system, marking a significant upgrade over the previous version comparable to the 55-inch screen in the 2025 Cadillac Escalade.

The new AT4 Ultimate model combines a robust appearance and adaptive air suspension from the standard AT4 model with a more luxurious cabin. The vehicle features Obsidian Rush accents, leather seating, and Ash Burl wood trim.

While the Cadillac Escalade dropped the diesel option in its recent facelift, the Yukon continues with diesel engines, offering a more powerful 3-liter Duramax engine. It produces 309 horsepower and 671 Nm of torque, an increase of 28 horsepower and 48 Nm compared to the previous version. The diesel engine is available in all trims, including the off-road-focused AT4 and AT4 Ultimate versions.

The vehicle also offers a standard 5.3-liter V8 gasoline engine producing 355 horsepower and an optional 6.2-liter V8 engine generating 420 horsepower. All three powertrain options are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, delivering power to either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Safety features have been updated with the latest advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Notable features include a night vision system with thermal detection of objects and Super Cruise capability. It offers a towing capacity of 3810 kg. The vehicle is expected to be available in the US market by the end of this year, with pricing to be announced as production commences at the Texas plant.
