Chevy revealed on Friday that it has cut the price and increased the range and power of the 2025 Blazer EV. A new front-wheel-drive model serves as the new base model priced at $45,995, which includes a $1,395 destination fee.

Additionally, every 2025 Blazer EV qualifies for a $7,500 tax credit at the point of purchase.

This model had been promised but never delivered since the Blazer EV launched last year. The single-motor model has an output of 220 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, but the range has not yet been certified by the EPA. Chevy states that it will be available to order 'soon.'

The 2024 Blazer EV's base model was the 2LT all-wheel-drive model with two motors. The 2025 Blazer EV AWD LT is priced at $48,995, which is $1,200 less than last year's 2LT.

Range increases by 4 miles to 283 miles, with system output rising to 300 hp and 355 lb-ft (up from 288 hp and 333 lb-ft).

This makes the 2025 Blazer EV more affordable than some key competitors. The price of a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E with all-wheel drive and a range of 300 miles is $50,895, while the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE with AWD and a range of 260 miles costs $50,745. The Volkswagen ID.4 Pro AWD is priced at $50,180 with a range of 263 miles.

The $56,990 RS RWD and top-tier SS AWD models come with a larger 102-kwh battery pack, while the other Blazer EVs feature an 85-kwh pack. The RS RWD leads the range with 334 miles (up from 324 miles) and its output increases to 365 hp (up from 340 hp) and 325 lb-ft.
