For the 2025 model year, Acura has refreshed its best-selling RDX compact crossover, enhancing its exterior appearance and refining the interior.
When the 2025 Acura RDX hits showrooms this month, it will cost $46,050, including a $1,350 destination charge.
On the exterior, the 2025 RDX boasts a new frameless grille design with a revised mesh pattern. There are also new wheel designs, including the standard 19-inch wheels, along with three new color options: Solar Silver Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl.
Buyers seeking a sportier look can choose the A-Spec model, which comes with additional black accents and standard 20-inch wheels.
The most significant updates are found inside. The center console has been redesigned for increased storage, including larger cupholders. Access to the wireless phone charger is now easier, according to Acura.
The infotainment screen remains a 10.2-inch unit but now features a new wide-screen mode for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are wireless in the 2025 RDX. RDX SUVs equipped with the Advance Package now feature full leather upholstery and additional ambient lighting extending to the door-mounted speakers.
All RDX models come standard with a sport-tuned suspension, which can be upgraded with available adaptive dampers.
There have been no changes in the powertrain, meaning the 2025 RDX comes with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 producing 272 hp. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and drives all four wheels via a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that can send up to 70% of the drive torque to the rear axle and 100% to an individual rear wheel to assist in cornering.
For buyers looking for enhanced performance, Acura has indicated that all its vehicles will eventually offer a sporty Type S variant, although the RDX is not expected to receive this treatment until a redesigned model arrives.
The current RDX has been on sale since the 2019 model year, and despite its longstanding presence, it continues to sell well, moving nearly 40,000 units in the U.S. last year.
