Ford has conducted a comprehensive update on the 2025 Bronco Sport, which includes the addition of the new Sasquatch package for the Outer Banks and Badlands models. This significantly enhances the off-road capabilities of this multi-functional sports vehicle. Furthermore, all 2025 Bronco Sport models are now equipped with larger displays and more ADAS features.
With the Sasquatch package selected, this compact SUV will be equipped with larger and more stable 29-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires, similar to the larger Bronco. Additionally, it comes with steel bumpers and extra underbody protection, as well as integrated tow hooks.
In terms of mechanical updates, the 1.5-liter Bronco Sport Outer Banks Sasquatch now features rear-wheel drive, a dual-clutch transmission, and a lockable rear differential, which were previously exclusive to the Badlands model with a 2.0-liter engine.
The Badlands model now comes with new springs, increasing the ground clearance by 0.4 inches (10 mm). With the addition of the Sasquatch package, Bilstein rear shocks will be available with position-sensitive dampers and rear reservoirs, increasing the rear suspension height to 8.7 inches (221 mm), an increase of 0.6 inches (15 mm).
The Badlands and Sasquatch features also include a new Rally G.O.A.T driving mode that prolongs gear engagement, enhances throttle response, and increases steering feedback. Additionally, all 2025 Bronco Sport models now come standard with the new Off-Road G.O.A.T mode that complements the standard four-wheel drive.
The powertrains for 2025 have undergone some adjustments, but still come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine now delivers 180 horsepower and 271 Nm of torque – a decrease of 1 horsepower but an increase in torque compared to last year.
Meanwhile, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, designated for the Badlands and Badlands Sasquatch versions, produces 238 horsepower and 373 Nm of torque. This is 12 horsepower less than the previous version.
Aside from the powerful enhancements of the Sasquatch package, the rest of the 2025 models retain their familiar design. However, there are some noteworthy updates, such as improved mounting points on the bumpers for various attachments and updated wheel designs.
More significant updates are found inside the cabin, as all 2025 versions now come standard with a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the instrument cluster features graphics inspired by the Bronco Raptor.
Ford designers also offered an optional grab handle for passengers in the center console, which can be easily swapped out. The same standard approach applies to the top of the dashboard, which conveniently houses two of the six USB-C ports located throughout the Bronco Sport cabin.
Lastly, the 2025 Bronco Sport now comes standard with additional ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering assistance.
