The 2025 Acura ADX is being previewed as a major model for the brand's entry into the luxury compact SUV market. In some of the previous images, we get a glimpse of a panoramic sunroof, front seats with ventilation, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system mounted on the A-pillars and roof liner, similar to the ones found in the Genesis G90.
The blue accents on the seat pads could imply support for customization aiming for interior and exterior color coordination. At the same time, it could mean that the ADX will be offered in a two-tone color scheme.
ADX in Acura's SUV lineup
Currently, Acura's SUV lineup includes the RDX, MDX, and ZDX EV. The RDX is the brand's compact luxury crossover SUV, and the MDX is positioned in the midsize luxury crossover SUV market. The ZDX is similar in size to the MDX but is an all-electric model.
The upcoming ADX is expected to be the high-level model of the Integra, providing customers with easy access to the “Acura Performance Lineup”. This goal could signal the possibility of the ADX getting a Type S version similar to the current Integra, or possibly equipped with Integra's 200-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
ADX Design Dtails
It's been confirmed that the upcoming SUV will be offered with the same A-Spec interior as its MDX and RDX siblings. This optional package adds sportier interior and exterior details such as more aggressive body panels, larger wheels, Alcantara-trimmed seats and shift paddles.
In terms of design, the ADX remains mysterious. The only photo of the rear end released shows taillights that look very similar to those on the MDX and ZDX. There appears to be an additional spoiler below the rear window, which could be part of the A-Spec package.
Challenges to be faced by Acura ADX
When released, the ADX will be in tough competition with the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class and the Volvo XC40. Acura will likely need to undercut its European rivals in terms of pricing.
With a reference to the RDX's starting suggested retail price of $44,700 USD (equal to approximately SAR 167,730), which could mean that the ADX's base price will be less than $40,000 (equal to approximately SAR 150,100).
The cheapest of these European rivals is the Volvo XC40, which starts at $41,945 (equal to about SAR 157,390).
