The Tesla 2024 Model 3 Performance is showcased at the Paris Motor Show, representing the most powerful version in the Model 3 lineup, featuring a ‘Rouge Ultra’ color, which is the French term for ‘Ultra Red’, priced at €60,680 or $66,067 in France.
The new Model 3 Performance was launched earlier this year with an improved all-wheel-drive system. Tesla engineers have also updated the interior design and suspension system, striking a balance between everyday drivability and high performance. It is noteworthy that Tesla has chosen not to use the term 'Plaid', reserving it for the more powerful versions of the Model X and Model S.
The 2024 model features unique design touches such as new front and rear lights, a rear spoiler, and front and rear diffusers. These updates not only enhance the aesthetics but also improve aerodynamic performance, reducing drag by 5% and increasing downforce by 36%, while effectively balancing front and rear downforce.
Inside, the new car is equipped with sports seats that have deeper bolsters for better side support during sharp turns. The seats, featuring special padding, are power-adjustable and come with heating and ventilation functions. Tesla also claims to have improved noise isolation by using 360-degree acoustic glass and enhanced body insulation.
The 2024 Model 3 Performance is equipped with the new Performance 4DU power unit, which delivers 22% more continuous power, 32% more peak power, and 16% more torque compared to the previous model. The vehicle features adaptive shock absorbers, a new stabilizer bar, and high-strength steel springs to enhance performance. It also comes with 20-inch wheels and Tesla-exclusive Pirelli P Zero 4 tires, producing over 500 horsepower, with a WLTP range of 528 km, completing 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 262 km/h. It offers three driving modes: standard, sport, and track mode for optimal performance.
