Subaru has finally realized that some customers do not prefer SUVs, leading to the creation of the more exciting WRX TR sedan version. Although it shares the same power as the standard WRX, it offers significant upgrades for a better driving experience.
The WRX TR comes with a series of important modifications in the depths of the vehicle, equipped with red Brembo brakes, larger brake discs, and a bigger master cylinder. Subaru claims that the benefits extend beyond just improved stopping power, providing a superior pedal feel.
The suspension has also received some enhancements, featuring stiffer springs, new dampers, and recalibrated steering. It is fitted with 245/35 Bridgestone R19 Potenza S007 tires, providing greater stability in various conditions, as well as improved body control and steering response.
The WRX TR is equipped with new 19-inch satin gray wheels and features electrically adjustable Recaro seats with eight directions, accented with red stitching to add vibrancy to the gray and black Ultrasuede upholstery. Notably, the TR comes without a sunroof.
The US version of the WRX TR lacks the large rear wing seen in leaked images of the Australian version, but it is equipped with Subaru's EyeSight driver assistance package, which combines features such as adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine, maintaining the same output of 271 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, paired with a manual transmission. The car's price in the North American market is $42,775, or about SAR 160,445.
