The Honda Passport for 2024 has been updated with precise design modifications, offering a more practical interior and improved off-road performance. Additionally, the high-end Black Edition has been introduced.
All trim levels benefit from a larger central console and a new armrest design. The storage space of the central console can now accommodate more items, including a standard-sized tablet. The redesigned drawer can hold two large smartphones in front of the gear shifter.
Black Edition
The new Black Edition replaces the Elite trim and features unique design elements that distinguish it from the lower trims. It is available in four color options: Pearl Black, Platinum White, Sonic Gray, and Radiant Red. The Black Edition also features black accents on the grille, door handles, window trims, and headlights, while the 20-inch black wheels are part of the package.
Black Edition models also come with perforated leather upholstery accented with red touches. The front seats feature ventilation, while the rear seats offer heating only. Sporty red stitching is found on the seats, door panels, and steering wheel.
TrailSport Trim
The TrailSport trim has also received numerous updates to enhance its efficiency on unstable and dirt roads. The suspension system has been improved with new dampers and stabilizer bars. This results in smoother off-road driving without compromising on-road maneuverability and comfort.
The TrailSport models are also equipped with all-terrain tires. They come with 245/60 General Grabber A/Tx tires around 18-inch wheels, providing greater traction in mud, sand, snow, and rocky terrains. Honda states that these off-road tires are perfectly suitable for daily road use. Additionally, the TrailSport model features electric folding mirrors and is offered in a sky blue color.
Inside, the TrailSport is equipped with plenty of features. Although not as luxurious as the Black Edition, it features contrasting orange stitching on the doors, steering wheel, and seats. The seats also bear embroidered TrailSport logos. The all-weather floor mats are standard. Compatibility with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging, and four USB-C charging ports are also standard features.
Regarding standard safety features, the 2024 Passport comes equipped with the advanced Honda Sensing suite to assist the driver. This includes forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control.
Honda Passport Engine
The vehicle is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 280 horsepower, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive option is no longer available.
