The 2025 Nissan Altima has officially debuted, featuring fewer variants due to declining sales. The biggest change is the removal of the previous 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which produced 248 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. For 2025, the only option is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs up to 188 horsepower and 244 Nm of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) Xtronic, with an optional all-wheel drive system available for an additional $1,500 in most trims.
A new addition for the 2025 models is the SV Special Edition package, priced at $1,090, which adds body-colored mirrors, a rear spoiler, a sunroof, and 17-inch glossy black alloy wheels. Interior updates include a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charger. The package also features touches of synthetic carbon fiber, illuminated door sills, and remote start capability.
Nissan hasn't had much to say about the car, but the 2025 Altima SR comes with new bronze wheels, priced at $670 and measuring 19 inches. Furthermore, the base S version is now equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system, replacing the previous 7-inch screen. Prices start at $27,000, representing an increase of $630. Customers will also benefit from a new maintenance program.
