Cupra has revealed that its crossover Tiramare has been in the works for over two years, and the company has now announced the launch date for its production version, set for September 6. The company stated that this vehicle combines passion and performance, becoming a champion of the new era.
The crossover is named after the Tiramare racetrack and will compete in one of the fastest-growing segments in the European market. Cupra has not disclosed much about this model but hinted that it will feature a bold and strong design, along with the second generation of eHybrid technology.
The vehicle boasts a sportier design than its sibling, the Volkswagen Tiguan, with an aggressive front design that includes several triangular design elements, prominently displayed in the daytime running lights. The body features a sleek silhouette with a flowing roofline and sporty rear touches, complemented by a slim lighting strip and integrated rear diffuser.
When the vehicle was announced in 2022, the company mentioned it would be produced in Hungary and will offer combustion engines alongside the new hybrid technology providing an electric range of 100 km. More details regarding the vehicle are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, but its sibling Tiguan offers two hybrid system options, including a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor, with a 19.7 kWh battery. This allows the Tiguan to deliver a combined power of 268 horsepower with an electric driving range of 129 km per charge.
