Xiaomi has recently been testing a new SUV model in China, believed to be the MX11. This vehicle features a low riding position and a sporty design, with aesthetic elements reminiscent of Xiaomi's sedan, the SU7.
From the front, the car appears very slim, likely retaining the form of the SU7. The side window line rises as it reaches the rear of the vehicle, and the sloping roofline extends smoothly towards the back. Notably, the car being tested uses the same five-spoke wheels seen in earlier spy shots.
Experts have noted that the dimensions of the MX11 are similar to those of the Ferrari Purosangue, and it appears to incorporate some design elements from the Porsche Taycan. Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun has stated his aim to produce dream cars for the public with the SU7.
Previous spy photos of the MX11 have sparked considerable speculation online regarding the appearance of Xiaomi's SUV. However, real details about the vehicle are still scarce. It is expected that the batteries will be sourced from Sunwoda, contrasting with the BYD batteries in the standard versions of the SU7 and CATL batteries in the Pro and Max versions. If this is accurate, it could indicate that the MX11's pricing may be more competitive. The Xiaomi SUV is anticipated to hit the market in 2025.
