Geely has launched the new hybrid sedan Geely Galaxy L6 in China, specifically the L6 Creative Edition, priced at $17,900. This new car is the latest version of the Geely Galaxy series, featuring a new pink exterior color and several updates.
In June, the Geely Galaxy series sold a total of 15,975 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 65.2% and a month-on-month increase of 12.6%. Specifically, the Geely Galaxy L6 sold a total of 6,391 vehicles, up 4.3% month-on-month. From January to June 2024, the cumulative sales of Geely Galaxy reached 81,421 vehicles.
As a new version of the Geely Galaxy L6, the design of the new model aligns with the current versions of the vehicle. The new car adopts a fresh pink exterior with a black roof, and its dimensions remain unchanged at 4782/1875/1489 mm for length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2752 mm. The car features a drag coefficient of 0.26Cd and an official braking distance from 100 to 0 km/h of 36.5 meters.
The new version of the car offers seven functionalities that were not available before, including interactive LED front and rear lights. It also features a 3.3-meter light strip that can create 100 different lighting scenarios paired with music, frameless exterior mirrors, 18-inch wheels, an electric tailgate, and a 1.76-meter panoramic sunroof.
The car continues to utilize Geely's hybrid power system with a 1.5-liter engine, electric motor, and a three-speed DHT transmission. The engine's maximum power is 161 horsepower with a peak torque of 255 Nm, while the electric motor produces 143 horsepower and 338 Nm of torque. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 6.3 seconds. The lithium iron phosphate battery has a capacity of 18.74 kWh, providing an electric range of 125 km and a comprehensive WLTC range of 1370 km.
The interior design features a deep gray color scheme, with more leather materials added to the center console. The driver’s cabin includes a 13.2-inch central control screen, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, and a D-shaped multifunction steering wheel.
The vehicle is also equipped with cruise control, an integrated driving recorder, voice interaction, WiFi hotspot, remote control, and air quality monitoring system. The seats support massage, ventilation, heating, and electric adjustment. Additionally, the ambient lights in the vehicle can change among 256 colors.
