Dear Corolla owners, I'm wondering about the significance of the dual-engine version. Is it fuel-efficient? The dual-engine version is 11,000 more expensive than the fuel version (not including the purchase tax). The dual-engine uses 4 liters per 100 km, while the fuel version uses 6 liters, saving 2 liters. Based on the highest fuel price of 8 per liter, you save 16 per 100 km. You'd have to drive 68,000 km to save that amount of money. [smile] For an average person, how long does it take to drive 68,000 km? I drive a maximum of 60 km a day, which would take over three years, and that's assuming I drive 60 km every day. [smile] In reality, it would take five years to save that money.
Corolla needs to step up its game, the sales are really down. It's actually a pretty good car. My wife has been driving it for 6 years, still going strong, only changed the tires once. Why is no one buying it?
