My car got hit while parked in the neighborhood, and there's a dent about the size of an ID card above the right front wheel. I'm considering paintless dent repair. Has anyone done this before? How was the result?

I'm new to cars. Last night, I didn't see clearly while turning and scraped against a pile of sand and stones. Three-quarters of the left side skirt is scratched, and there are one or two scratches on the front and rear doors [facepalm]. Any advice from the experts on how to handle this?
