The spare tire compartment always has water in it, what should I do? Is it because the drainage hole is blocked or is it an issue with the wiring of the installed reverse camera?

I've got a 10-year-old imported 1.6 Mazda3. Lately, I don't know what's happening, but I can shift to the D gear, yet it doesn't show on the screen. I have to jiggle the gear lever a bit for it to display. Feels like a loose connection. 🤦♂️ Other gears are working fine.
