My new car makes a clicking sound and won't start, but if I turn it off and try again, it starts fine. Does anyone know what's going on?

The battery is new, and the car starts fine when it's cold. But after driving for about ten minutes, sometimes when I stop and try to restart, it makes a squeaking sound and won't start. If I turn it off and then gently start it again, it works. I'm asking if anyone knows what might be causing this issue and if anyone has experienced something similar?
