A 5-seater is just for fun, while a 7-seater is a real family car. If you're getting a 5-seater, you might as well just get a sedan.

For a five-seater, the storage space is relatively larger compared to a seven-seater. It might have some extra compartments, but if you have the option, it's better to choose a seven-seater. Normally, it allows for more passengers, so if you have a five-seater and end up with more passengers, you might get fined for overloading. With a seven-seater, when you don't need the extra seats, you can fold down the third row, and it becomes just like a five-seater.
