Hi everyone, my Wrangler JL idles at 800 RPM without any noise after warming up. Then after about 7 to 8 minutes of idling, it automatically goes up to 1000 RPM, and there seems to be a thumping sound. I asked many places, and they said it's not knocking. Does anyone else have a similar issue with their Wrangler? Any explanation or help would be appreciated since there are no fault codes.

It's been four years, and it's always been like this. Once the transmission temperature goes over 40 degrees, it stops working. I asked the salesperson, and they said it's normal. [I need some peace and quiet]

When idling for a long time without airflow, the fan kicks in to help cool down, making a loud buzzing sound. But it's not the thumping noise...

The continuous idle fan activation might be the sound of the fan system.
