Hello fellow car enthusiasts, I'm interested in a 2013 Touran with an EA111 engine. Does this engine consume oil? Does it have a lot of minor issues?

Using cheap fake oil often leads to increased noise, higher fuel consumption, and a higher failure rate. In the end, you'll spend more on repairs than what you saved on the oil!

Don't buy automatic models before the 2015 version, that transmission is guaranteed to fail.

I also drive the 2013 manual model with the EA211 engine. It has reached 200,000 kilometers, and I've done all maintenance at the 4S shop. There's no oil burning issue so far. I've replaced the clutch once, and there's an automatic opening issue with the sunroof, but no other problems. It's a good car! [Thumbs up]

I'm a mechanic. Normally, there aren't many issues with the engine; it's mainly the transmission.

My 2011 model doesn't burn oil. I've always used Mobil 1 and just stick to regular maintenance and part replacements.

Check the car's condition! If the previous owner didn't take care of it, it'll burn!
