Why does the 2018 Sharan 2.0T 380 TSI consume 11.5 liters per 100 km? My Tiguan L 2.0T with low power version only consumes 7.3 liters per 100 km. I take good care of my car and accelerate gently, so why is the Sharan's fuel consumption so high? The major maintenance for the Sharan was just completed!

Volkswagen cars tend to have low fuel consumption on the highway with cruise control, but in city traffic, the fuel consumption can double. For example, the Magotan can achieve 6.4 liters per 100 km at 120 km/h on the highway, but in city congestion, even with a calm driving style, it can go up to 11 liters.

Fuel consumption in the city is indeed high. With the air conditioning on, it has never been lower than 16 liters per 100 kilometers in pure city driving.

Hello everyone, my car is from December 2010 and it's an automatic. It's consuming a lot of fuel, averaging more than 10 liters per 100 km. What's the issue?
