I'd like to ask fellow car owners, when you turn off the car and park it in P gear, does it move slightly when you release the brake? Mine has been doing this a lot lately.
Hey car enthusiasts, my 2017 4WD Smart Drive version stalls when I shift to Neutral (N) or Park (P). Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Guys, today I tried flooring it in Sport+ mode and heard a rustling sound that lasted about 5 seconds before disappearing. No error codes on the dashboard, and the car drives fine. However, when I parked and shifted to P, there was a continuous electrical noise. The noise disappeared after switching to neutral and back to P. Could there be an issue with the transmission? How should I check it?
4Guys, I'm really freaking out. Just now, while driving smoothly, the D gear light (the one on the gear shift) started flashing, and the dashboard showed "Please shift to D gear first before selecting the appropriate gear." I was in a panic and didn't know whether to press the brake and shift to P gear or shift to P gear and then to D gear, and then it prompted "Speed too high to shift into D gear (or maybe P gear, I forgot)." It was terrifying, the car felt like it was in neutral and there was no power when I pressed the accelerator. I managed to park on the side using inertia, shifted back to P gear, and then to D gear, and it resumed normal driving. I want to ask you guys, what's going on here exactly? Is there a specific part that's malfunctioning?
5Before driving, I can only shift gears by pressing the shift lock button, and once I shift back to the P gear, I have to press the lock button again to shift! The brake lights are working fine! I recently replaced the handbrake cable and gear cable. Has anyone else experienced this situation?
6When the MINI is in D gear and you brake, if there's a prompt to shift the transmission to P gear, there might be a couple of reasons for this. It could be an issue with the gearbox or a safety feature that's activating. If the car doesn't move when you release the brake, it might be due to a malfunction or an electronic system engaging to prevent movement. It's best to consult the vehicle's manual or contact a professional mechanic to diagnose the issue accurately.
7What's causing the creaking sound from the chassis when I get out of the car in the garage? The echo in the garage makes the sound louder. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? I have a 2021 model that I've driven for 20,000 km over two and a half years. When parking, I stop completely, shift to neutral, engage the electronic handbrake, then shift to park, turn off the engine, and get out. That's when I hear a creak from the left rear side.

9When starting on a slope with a temporary license plate and using auto hold at a gate, the car tends to roll back when pressing the accelerator after the gate opens. Have any experienced car owners encountered this issue? How do you solve it? Should I use the electronic handbrake? PS. I didn't have this problem with my previous Volkswagen Golf. When stopped on a slope, I just kept the brake pressed and it moved forward when I pressed the accelerator, without rolling back.
10Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and I have a question. When you park your Panamera on a slope and put it in P, does it roll a bit and make a loud clunk sound when you release the brake? And when you shift from P to N, is there also a clunk sound? My new car makes a really loud noise. It's scary, I almost thought I got hit.
