I just got my car two months ago, and whenever I park, the brakes cause a bit of a jolt, making my body lurch forward. Is this due to my braking technique or something with the car?

No way, the front fork of this car is already quite stiff. If you lift your foot before the final brake stop, it won't dip forward as much. But Volvo's suspension is already very stiff. When I drive the Zeekr, the dipping is even more severe, soft like a Volkswagen.

When braking quickly, slightly ease off the pedal a bit.

Brake early, don't come to a sudden stop.

Don't step on it too hard.

Late braking, too aggressive.

The technique takes practice, but it can get a bit better with time. Still, it's hard to completely avoid some slight headaches. [I want to be alone]
