The air conditioning filter in the S40 is typically located behind the glove box. To replace it, you generally need to follow these steps: 1. Open the glove box and empty its contents. 2. Gently unhook the glove box to allow it to drop down further, giving you access to the filter compartment. 3. Locate the air conditioning filter cover, which is often held in place by clips or screws. 4. Remove the cover to access the filter. 5. Take out the old filter and insert the new one, ensuring it is positioned correctly according to the airflow direction indicated on the filter. 6. Reattach the cover, secure the glove box back in place, and close it. Always refer to the vehicle's manual for specific instructions, as the process can vary slightly depending on the model year.

It's better to replace it yourself at the same spot as the Ford Focus and Ford Mondeo. Adding more lumbar support might help. [I need some quiet time]

Removing the accelerator pedal is quite a hassle. It's better to have it done at a repair shop. Doing it yourself isn't worth it. It takes a lot of time, and your hands can't fit in there. No matter how you position yourself under the driver's seat, it's just not right.

The storage box cover under the front passenger dashboard can be removed from there. It's not too simple, so it's best to have a mechanic handle it.
