Do your cars jerk? Severe jerking during aggressive driving, jerking at low speeds, and jerking while driving in the city! Are all AT transmissions the same?

The common issue of oil leakage in the 2.0 can cause jerking. I bought the 2.4, and it was noticeable before changing the transmission oil. After changing it, it's better. I did a gravity change with 4 liters, and it worked.

When you release the throttle slightly at over 2000 RPM, the Volvo shifts up immediately. When accelerating again during low-speed coasting, there is a slight jerk, which is normal.

Juddering, low-speed juddering. I changed the transmission oil and repaired the transmission, spent thousands, got a bit better, but there's still slight juddering. The mechanic told me, all old cars are like this! [Facepalm]

The 2.4-liter displacement is okay. I haven't tried the 2.5 yet. Maybe try switching to 98 gasoline.

It's quite normal for the S40 to have some jerking now, considering how many years have passed. I suggest fellow car enthusiasts first try changing the lubricant. If there's no significant improvement after that, it might indicate an issue with the internal gears.
