The tracks are exposed and need cleaning, especially if the car is parked under a tree outside for a long time. Avoid using grease as it can attract more dust. Use WD-40 or dashboard wax instead.

Ask the 4S store to give you a spray. Mine wouldn't close every time, but a spray fixed it.

Listen to advice: once the sunroof is closed, do not open it.

How many years has the car been used? It's mostly the slider that has worn out badly.
