Is there anyone who has experienced a similar issue with the 2017 Dongfeng Renault Koleos 2.0 making a squeaking noise when turning the steering wheel? I went to the repair shop and they said the steering gear needs to be replaced. How did you solve it?

Which auto repair shop? Don't go there next time, they're a rip-off. No need to worry, it'll get better in the summer, it's a common issue.
