Hello fellow car enthusiasts [smile] I have a professional question for the expert mechanics out there! I have a 2013 MG3 with a 1.3L manual transmission. Today, I wasn't in a good mood and drove with the engine revving at 3500 RPM! I was shifting gears up and down intermittently for over a minute at this 3500 RPM. Will this cause any damage to the engine? It was under hot engine conditions. I hope some expert mechanics can help me out, thanks a lot (^_^)

After thinking and looking for a long time, it all comes down to not having enough money. I'm planning to buy a second-hand car for around 40,000 to 50,000. I'm currently considering a Subaru Outback, but since its parts are expensive and not everyone can repair it, I'm putting this on hold. If there's an alternative, I'd love to hear it.
