In southern cities, a two-wheel drive is sufficient, but if you often drive on icy and slippery roads in the north, then a four-wheel drive is recommended. Additionally, in terms of Panamera's attributes, there isn't much difference in daily driving between the regular version and the S version. So, I'm not sure where the argument that the 4S is essential is coming from. On the contrary, if the rear seats are frequently occupied, it's advisable to choose the long-wheelbase version, as the difference is quite significant.
