As a new driver, I've only driven the 2019 2.0 model, and I find the acceleration quite sluggish. When I press the gas pedal deeply, the engine needs to reach around 1800-2000 RPM to speed up a bit, and the engine noise is quite loud. Is this normal for a naturally aspirated engine with a CVT? I tried using the DS mode, which seems to provide what I consider normal acceleration, but I noticed the RPM goes up to four or five thousand. My friend's 1.5T Geely doesn't make much noise and feels more powerful. As a new driver, I've only driven the 2019 2.0 model, and I find the acceleration quite sluggish. Naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines can't be compared.

You might have high power requirements.

It's something you get used to — the 2.0 is really slow to start when the AC is on.

It only feels sluggish when you decelerate and then accelerate again; otherwise, it doesn't feel sluggish at all.

I feel you, let's just drive calmly! Otherwise, we might need to go for the 2.0T. If you're planning to overtake with a naturally aspirated engine, just switch to DS mode in advance! That's how I do it, haha! Not sure if it's the right way.

It's normal, very sluggish, only speeds up a bit between 40 to 80.

CVT transmission is not suitable for aggressive driving.

With the same engine displacement, the Qashqai accelerates faster than the Koleos. [I want some peace]

For such a big car, even my 2.4 struggles, let alone a 2.0. It's normal.

Sometimes when I wait for the RPM to drop after starting the car, the engine noise is really loud. The sound gets louder or softer depending on how hard I press the accelerator, and the throttle doesn't feel as powerful as it usually does, requiring me to press it deeper. However, most of the time, this doesn't happen. After the RPM drops, the noise is normal.
