It's normal for your NV200 to have a high idle speed of 2000 RPM when you start it cold, and then drop to 800 RPM after about a minute. This process helps the engine warm up. However, if it feels inconvenient, you might want to consult a mechanic to see if any adjustments can be made.

Is anyone familiar with solving the issue of idle speed occasionally rising to 2000 RPM and then dropping back down on a stock MG HS? It's particularly noticeable at low speeds.
Hello everyone, could someone help me with this issue? When in Park and idling, if I rev the engine above 1600 RPM and then release the throttle, the RPM stays around 1600 for about ten seconds before it drops. This doesn't happen if I don't exceed 1600 RPM. Between 1600 and 2000 RPM, there's a noticeable jolt. Additionally, when shifting gears and slowly accelerating, there's a rattling noise between 1600 and 2000 RPM, but it disappears after 2000 RPM. Does anyone have any insights on this? I would really appreciate it. The car model is a 2016 30T two-wheel drive. Thank you very much!
4When driving a manual transmission car, if you hear a rubbing noise from the engine slightly above 2000 RPM, but it disappears above 2300 RPM, what could be the reason?
5Hey everyone, is it normal for the car's RPM to stay around 1200 even when I release the accelerator while driving? The idle speed is only 800 RPM when parked in neutral. Is it the same for you guys?
6When I start the car, the idle speed is around 2000 RPM, but after a while, it drops to 1500 RPM. It takes quite a long time to go down to around 1000 RPM. Does anyone know what's going on?
7Help needed, fellow Peugeot owners! Ever since my little Peugeot went on a continuous uphill drive for over an hour a few days ago, it's been having issues. The RPMs go up, but the speed doesn't. It's not too bad when not on the highway, as pressing the accelerator quickly gets the RPMs and speed up. But once I'm on the highway and going over 80-90 km/h, I need to press the gas to at least 2000 RPMs for the speed to increase very slowly. On inclines, if I don't reach 2500 RPMs, the speed drops. I never had to go over 2000 RPMs on the highway before. What's going on? 🌹
8It's normal for the idle speed to fluctuate when you turn on the air conditioning in a 2013 1.6 manual fashion model. Sometimes the RPM might go up to around 900 or almost 1000, and other times it might be around 800. If you restart the engine and the RPM goes back to around 800, it's usually not a cause for concern.
9My Zhilong 2022 model 2.0 has reached 20,000 kilometers. When the engine is cold-started, there's a "dang dang dang" sound at 1500 RPM, but it's gone at 800 RPM. Is it the same for you guys?
10Hey fellow car enthusiasts, do you also notice that when you start the car in P gear, the engine revs quite loudly, usually above 1000 RPM? But once you shift to D gear, it drops below 1000 RPM and the sound gets much quieter. Is that the case for you too?
