Guys, I just got a 2.0T Nissan Altima and have only driven 700KM. Today is Sunday, and I was bored, so I opened the hood and checked the dipstick. The new oil has a strong gasoline smell, indicating fuel dilution. Has anyone else experienced this? No wonder the maintenance requires an oil change every 5000KM, even with fully synthetic oil, it can't last until 10000KM. Fuel dilution can seriously affect the oil's lubrication and other functions. It's never wrong to change it early. Also, I wiped the new dipstick with a tissue and found the end to be very black. Not sure what's going on.

It's normal, the original Nissan engine oil is pretty bad. I've switched to the Hong Kong version of Green Mobil, and changing the oil every 10,000 kilometers is no problem.
