Is the power of the Volkswagen Multivan 2.0T sufficient?

The power is decent, and overtaking is doable. However, once it hits 120 km/h, it feels uncomfortable as various noises start to increase. Overtaking after 120 km/h still lacks a bit.

No need to worry about power, just step on the gas and you're good to go.

There's no cowardly car, only cowardly drivers! If you dare to step on the pedal hard, it'll dare to speed up!

It's okay on regular roads, but when the car is full of people, it struggles a bit climbing uphill.

In sport mode, it's definitely sufficient. In D mode, apart from relying on inertia, the speed isn't quite enough. But once the speed picks up, the braking feels a bit uncertain.

I usually drive a Mercedes GLS400, so there's absolutely no problem with the power of driving a Multivan.

It's definitely enough, as long as you're willing to give it some gas. Occasionally switching to manual and using the paddle shifters makes it really powerful. 😁

If you understand power, this powertrain from Volkswagen will definitely surprise you. I recommend going for a test drive at the dealership, and you'll know. The difference between engine horsepower and wheel horsepower in German cars is minimal. The overall feel is excellent.

Why does it use an 8-speed automatic transmission abroad, but a 7-speed dual-clutch in the domestic market?
